About the Project
Young people are at a double risk of unemployment. Unemployment often results in social exclusion and poverty. In the European Union, young people are at the highest risk of social exclusion or poverty.
Directly addressing people aged 18 - 24 years, YES aims to tackle the sensitive issue of youth unemployment. The project aim strategically aligns with the objectives of the YES partners' youth work (e.g. support youth education and employability, or promote youth safety and well-being). Youth work will help the project target group find their way into the workforce through entrepreneurship.
To stimulate youth entrepreneurship and employment, YES will establish local policy frameworks in the form of action plans. In developing the action plans, the project will deploy multi-stakeholder cooperation, involving local business, academia and decision-makers together with youth workers and young people. As a result, YES will expand young people's knowledge and entrepreneurial skills in a supportive environment. This supportive environment will contribute to the implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy and ET2020.
To accomplish the above, an AGILE management will ensure timely quality deliverables in Argentina, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, China and Romania. To produce the deliverables, YES will apply a slide working methodology. The methodology will guide the implementation of partners' meetings, youth workers' mobilities, young volunteers' trainings, youth-led entrepreneurship ideas, youth employment task force meetings, large-scale youth events, International workshops and International conferences. Through these activities, YES will involve 500 unique direct participants.
To reach beyond the direct participants, YES will use conventional (min 5,000,000 people reached) and social media campaigns (min 50,000 people reached). This reach-out will ensure general public involvement in the action plans development, thus a final quality result for future project sustainability.
